03/04 Group Dinner

Last night we had our "last hurrah" for the 03/04 group while most of its members are still at Pepperdine. 41 of us went to C&O Trattoria, the place where we had one of our first group dinners, and we had a blast talking about the future, catching up on what's going on with each other in the present, and most of all remembering all the good times we had in Florence. It was really amazing that we got 41 people to drive 45 minutes (or more) and have a dinner in the middle of dead week. I think that just shows how close a group we were, and really still are.
In just over a week, all the students from that group will graduate, y'all will be missed!

New Programs, Class Final, and R.A.'s

So, it's been a while since I've written anything, and since I'm bored I found something to write about, eventhough it really doesn't have a whole lot to do with Florence.
Pepperdine decided to ditch the Lyon, France program at the end of this year. It's alternative for next fall is going to be a Paris program through a program overthere. It is going to be a homestay/ apartment living style program. For the spring, the program will move to a new Pepperdine program to be located in Lausanne, Switzerland. Lausanne is located in the South West corner of Switzerland, on lake Geneva, right across from the French border. This figures to be Pepperdine's French speaking program of the future.
As far as stuff for Florence, and all the European programs go, we have our final exam for the orientation class in 45 minutes. It shouldn't be too tough considering that we only have to get a 60% to pass. Of all the things we have to do to be able to go overseas, this seems to be the easiest requirement to meet. Oh well, we will know how it turns out soon enough.
Lastly, and probably most importantly to Florence and next year is the selection of R.A.'s. I have no idea how many people applied for each position, but at last, one male and one female have been chosen to be out R.A.'s for next year. Mike Rennaker is going to be the male R.A. and Anna King is going to be the female R.A. I'll probably get something more about them up at somepoint. But for now, good luck and congradulations to you two. If you need anything feel free to ask, and anyone in the group would be more than happy to help you out.
Time to get ready for a test.
